So India has done it again. Indians showed the world the meaning and the value of the arithmetic ‘0’.The first surgery in the history of medicine is believed to have been done by an Indian named Susruta.Add to this the numerous ayurvedic medicinal discoveries, India has played a crucial role in unraveling the mysteries of Mother earth. Now India has gone a step further and unraveled a secret about the moon which could perhaps be considered the greatest of them all. India launched Chandrayaan-1, its first unmanned lunar probe in October 2008, hoping to know more about Moon. By late August this year, ISRO(Indian Space Research Organization) officially declared the mission complete after Chandrayaan experienced technical difficulties. But the details it collected showed the presence of thin film of water molecules on the surface of the moon. This could potentially lead to the discovery of various details about the Moon which are unknown to mankind. Who knows there might be potential for life in moon too. NASA has publicly appreciated the efforts of chandrayaan for pioneering the research on this. Yet another reason for an Indian truly to be proud of his country!!!
